Project Snow. One of those special builds where we put a lot of extra work into to make it the ultimate Overlanding vehicle. The task was to make it tough and rugged, but able to drive across country on a moments notice. Finished in Alpine White with satin black accents. Custom gullwing rear windows to allow easy access to camping gear. Fitted with a custom rear storage system, rooftop tent, and a few other extras. Converted the interior to a Puma Style dash featuring a custom heating and air conditioning system that kept us toasty warm while out snapping photos. When this Camel Trophy Defender was sourced over a year ago, it wasn’t eligible for import. We happily stored it in a secure container at the Salisbury Workshop eagerly awaiting her 25th birthday (last week). We hung our Bishop+Rook shingle many years ago and it has served us well. As we continue forward, we thought an upgrade was in order. Given our desire to reuse and repurpose as much as possible with our restorations, we took that approach with our sign. While picking up headliner material we noticed JoAnn Fabrics had some amazing post-holiday deals like this Holy Night decoration. 80% off the wood sign we needed for this project. Originally $34.95, we paid $5.74 (plus a coupon). A little sanding, drilling, and we were set to go.
