Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at a build taking place in our Renville, Minnesota workshop. It takes quite a big team effort and a few small miracles to pull off a full restoration like this. It takes a lot of time and sometimes things don’t always go as planned. In the end, we’re proud of the quality work we do and think it shows in the finished project. Took the Nara Bronze Defender 110 out for some testing yesterday (translation: a bit of a joy ride). Such and amazing vehicle - inside and out. Drives like a modern car and turns a lot of heads. This is Hula. A 1996 Land Rover Defender 90 LHD 300Tdi up for adoption. While most of the Bishop+Rook Defender projects are custom builds, we do often come across donor vehicles we can't bring ourselves to disassemble. Hula is one of those trucks. We don't often post projects available for sale here, but this is one of those times where we're going to break the rules in order to re-home this amazing little Landy. #savehula If you've been searching all over for a great Defender 90 to get you started, this is the one. Aside from a few little adventure marks on the front wing and lower sill, this Defender is very straight and tidy. Currently being driven by one of our team members in Spain, but we would love to bring it to the states soon. As you can see from the photos, the chassis is in perfect condition, with a bulkhead to match. These are the big problem areas on unrestored Defenders. We can, of course, customize anything you would like on this one - interior, bodywork, wheel/tyre package, engine rebuild, etc., but wanted to offer it up for sale for those interested in getting into something fun to drive for a reasonable budget. While we don't think it's necessary, we could also do a full restoration - or a partial one - if that suits your needs.
